Letters to the Editor

Reprinted from "Crown Jewels of the Wire", December 1986, page 7

I recently examined a 1949 Westinghouse Agent-Distributor Catalog which offered Hemingray insulators for sale. I am enclosing a copy of the two pages of insulators they had listed for sale. One insulator listed on page 881 is a Hemingray-22 which appears to be a CD 128. I have never heard of a Hemingray-22 in that CD. There are several embossings for this CD that Hemingray made which are fairly common. Does anyone have any ideas about this listing?
